Het is nu vier jaar geleden dat God of War een soft reboot ontving, de game knalde daarmee naar nieuwe hoogte en boekte flinke successen. Met het succes van de titel uit 2018 was het wachten op een vervolg, God of War Ragnarok, enkel duurt dit even. De game werd verwacht in 2022, fans hopen nu op nieuwe updates vanuit Sony. Maar het lijkt er nog niet op.
De ontwikkelaar liet via twitter een bericht achter waarin het de fans bedankte voor de steun bij de vorige game, daarnaast werd ingegaan op de ontwikkeling van de volgende game, deze loopt goed.
“We haven’t said a lot about this,” zei Barlog. “That’s because everybody is heads down and hard at work. We are perfectionists.”
“There is so much going on right now that I just wish that I could share it with you, but it’s just not ready to be shown,” voegt hij toe. “But I guarantee you, the moment, the very second that we have something that we’re ready to share, we’re going to share it. Because we don’t want to hold any of this back. So please hold tight, know that something cool is coming, and that we, everybody here at Santa Monica, are so incredibly thankful for all the support that you’ve given us.”
