De game bevind zich nog in Early Access, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds heeft het daar ontzettend goed gedaan met een aantal van 4 miljoen verkochte exemplaren. Het is helaas nog wel even wachten tot de volledige release van de game. Bluehole heeft laten weten dat de titel voor het einde van Q4 dit jaar zal uikomen, het is wel een vertraging van oktober dit jaar.
Creator Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene liet in een blog post het volgende weten, “I’ve come to realize that restricting the window to a specific month could hinder us from delivering a fully featured game and/or lead to disappointment within the community if the launch deadline is not met.
“So, we have decided that we are going push the full launch back a bit from the initial six-month timeframe, but want to assure you that we are still planning a full release before the end of Q4 2017.”
Het is nu nog niet duidelijk of het gaat om het einde van het jaar 2017, of van het fiscale jaar. Hij liet gelukkig wel weten dat het team “continue to push weekly and monthly updates until full launch as we want to ensure that the game we release is the best version possible.”
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds staat gepland nog voor de Xbox One en Xbox One X
