Sony voegt routinematig nieuwe games toe aan de PlayStation Plus Game Catalogus, een samengestelde bibliotheek van PS4- en PS5-titels die toegankelijk is voor degenen die geabonneerd zijn op de Extra en Premium tiers van PlayStation Plus zonder extra kosten. Zoals bij alle dergelijke abonnementsservices, is de bibliotheek van games in de PS Plus Game Catalogus een voortdurende, waarbij ook regelmatig games worden verwijderd.
Sony heeft nu de volgende reeks games onthuld die uit de bibliotheek zullen worden verwijderd, en dat zijn er nogal wat. Op 21 mei zullen maar liefst 25 games uit de PS Plus Game Catalogus worden verwijderd, waarna zelfs PS Plus Extra en Premium-abonnees alleen toegang zullen hebben tot die games als ze ze hebben gekocht. Opmerkelijk is dat de lijst van games zeven Final Fantasy-titels bevat – Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 Remastered, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 10|10-2 HD Remaster, Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age, Final Fantasy 15: Royal Edition, en World of Final Fantasy.
Andere opmerkelijke titels die volgende maand uit de PS Plus Game Catalogus zullen worden verwijderd, zijn Abzu, The Artful Escape, Ashen, Absolver: Downfall, My Friend Pedro, The Messenger, Elex, Minit en Observation, onder anderen.
