The Golf Club wordt momenteel gespeeld via Steam Early Access, maar de ontwikkelaar HB Studios heeft ze blik nog steeds op wat andere velden staan. Één daarvan is de Playstation 4 en deze versie lijkt dan ook van de zomer te gaan komen, waar de studio al teased met ondersteuning voor Project Morpheus.
“We’ve had the amazing opportunity to be among the first developers to have access to the newly announced Project Morpheus VR tech prototype — and we’ve been exploring how we could possibly integrate this into The Golf Club,” zei executive producer Peter Garcin op het PlayStation.Blog. “Golf seems like an excellent fit for this kind of technology — the ability to look around your environment and really live inside the procedural courses is exciting. We’re anxious to see what we can do with this new tech and how we can create a compelling VR experience for The Golf Club with Morpheus.”
De ontwikkelaar is ook aan het kijken naar andere exclusieve Playstation functies, waaronder ondersteuning voor de PS Move. Gebruikers krijgen ook de mogelijkheid om banen die door gebruikers zijn gemaakt op hun PS4 dashboard te tonen.
De Golf Club slaat af op de PS 4 deze zomer, de Xbox one versie wordt ook ergens rond die tijd verwacht, je kan de trailer hier checken.
