THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER INTERVIEW Lesley Manville: “I was overwhelmed to be asked to come to the States […] play an American woman in an American film. I do enjoy playing a bad girl. There’s something I can’t quite put my finger on, that makes it terribly nice, really enjoyable.”

REACTIES AMERIKAANSE PERS |
New York Times: “With uncommon stealth, “Let Him Go” morphs from a drama about loss and grief into a terrifying thriller. Lesley Manville, as a monstrous matriarch, turns up the heat. Jeffrey Donovan as one of her menacing sons is also outstanding. But the movie never loses sight of its character dynamics, beautifully acted by Costner and Lane. And it shows how this couple, whose back story is revealed only in judiciously placed flashbacks, sticks to its own wedding vows.” Lees hier meer. Los Angeles Times: “In many ways, it feels like the midcentury pulp thrillers it emulates: well-plotted and grisly, but almost ephemeral. It is Lane’s performance that lingers, one that dares to be uniquely hopeful about the future, and letting the old ways die.” Lees hier meer. |
INTERVIEW BOOBOO STEWART |
“Stewart was honing his horsemanship he used for the movie Let Him Go for years, growing up on horseback when he wasn’t in the studio. “I definitely showed the most horsemanship in this film than I have before,” says Stewart. “But I feel like I have so much more to show. I’d love to have the opportunity to ride throughout an entire film and do a military or Western film.”” “Costner is amazing,” says Stewart. “He’s so kind, extremely generous and listens to everyone. He’s someone I really admire.” Lees hier het volledige interview. |
