465 Vers na de nieuwe launch trailer die we gisteren te zien kregen, is het hoge woord er nu uit dat de game de status Goud heeft bereikt.Coalition studio chief Rod Fergusson en Xbox boss Phil Spencer waren erbij voor de groepsfoto, daarbij hadden ze ook wat mooie woorden over de historie.
“This has been a real homecoming for me,” zei Fergusson, die al bij Epic Games zat voor het origineel van Gears of War en daar werd hij executive producer van de trilogie. “Coming back to Xbox to lead a studio of talented people from around the world, all focused on Gears of War, and doing so in my home country of Canada in one of the best cities in the world for technology and entertainment has been a dream come true.”
“Ten years ago, Gears of War was the killer app that brought millions into the Xbox family,” aldus Spencer. “It’s combination of innovative technology, unique gameplay, and trademark storytelling changed the game forever.”
Gears of War 4 zal bij release de ondersteuning bieden aan Cross Play tussen PC en Xbox One.
