Je Playstation krijgt binnenkort weer een hardware update, Sony heeft dan ook graag dat je weet wat je kan verwachten in de komende update.
In een bericht op het officiele blog, SCEA VP of Brand Marketing John Koller liet weten dat Update 4.00 verbeteringen en veranderingen zal brengen in diverse gebieden. Meest interessant is misschien wel de organisatie van de bibliotheek, hier zullen de games en apps op een makkelijkere manier getoond worden.
“Whether you’re in the beta or not, we wanted to give everyone a glimpse at some of the new aspects of this system software. We’re refreshing the system UI, adding tools for organization, updating the Quick Menu, and much more.”
Hieronder een snelle lijst van de update:
- UI Refresh: New system backgrounds, a revised What’s New tab, updated popup notifications and redesigned system icons. Koller calls it “a fresh coat of paint.”
- Quick Menu: “The menu now only covers a portion of the screen, meaning you don’t need to leave gameplay entirely. … You can see the online status of your friends, and shortcuts to quickly access your Party, Favorite Groups, Communities, and more”
- Share Menu: Size has been reduced on the screen, and videos for Twitter can now be 140 seconds instead of 10 seconds.
- Folders and Library Organization: Folders can now be created, the library adds a new “purchased” tab to help declutter the Library, and new sorting tools have been added.
- Trophy Improvements: Trophies can be viewed in offline mode, and hidden trophy content can now be shown.
- User Profile: Relevant info for a player is now easier to find.
