Electronic Arts Inc. en de Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) hebben laten weten met een eChampions League te komen, een toernoei uitbreiding op FIFA 19 en een nieuwe manier voor fans om zich te verbinden met de competitie.
De eChampions League voegt zich in het lijstje van evenementen en competities op weg naar de FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 volgend jaar.
“EA SPORTS FIFA captivates tens of millions around the world, and our deep integration within the many in-game experiences gives us exciting opportunities to connect the UEFA Champions League to players,” aldus Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Marketing Director. “We see the eChampions League and competitive FIFA as an important step in connecting with existing and new fans of the UEFA Champions League.”
Er gaan maar acht elite spelers door naar de Finale in Madrid. De eChampions LEague finale wordt een dag voor de echte finale gespeeld.
Om nog meer verbinding met de echte wereld te vinden zal er ook een prijzenpot zijn. De winnaar krijgt een groot deel uit de pot van $280,000 purse inclusief 850 EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series Points.
